The Rangers (6-2) retain a 0.5 game lead in the MVABL standings with a 16-0 victory over the Miami Valley Expos on Sunday, June 4 at Howell Field.

Joe Becker earned his third win of the season, tossing 5 innings of shutout baseball, allowing 5 hits and striking out two.

The Rangers' offense took advantage of 12 walks and a few early errors to score a season-high 16 runs. Ben Schooler and Ryan Kemp had singles in the first inning, and after a couple of errors and wild pitches, the Rangers took an early 3-0 lead. The Rangers added another run in the second on a sac fly from Jonmarc Lippincott.

Seven more runs came across in the third. Rob Armour had an RBI double, while Schooler and Eric Becker added run-scoring singles. Lippincott, Brandon Riley and Kemp walked with the bases loaded. Brandon Marshall had a sac fly to round out the scoring in the inning.

Schooler's sac fly in the fifth made it a 12-0 ballgame. Looking to wrap up the run-rule, the Rangers did its damage with two outs in the sixth inning. Eric Becker and Armour walked. Becker scored on a wild pitch. Nick Gilmore singled and Dunlevy walked to load the bases. Lippincott then smacked a two-run single over the left fielder, giving him 4 RBIs on the day and reaching the 500 RBI career mark. Rob Nesteroff made his debut at the plate by singling sharply up the middle to score Dunlevy for the 16-0 final.

Dunlevy finished the game by pitching a 1-2-3 sixth inning.
