Game  4

The first weeknight game saw the Rangers and Knights meet up as part of last weekend's rain make-up. The Rangers remained hot with an 8-3 victory at Gastineau Field. The Rangers have now won 12 of the last 13 regular season matchups with the Knights.

Joe Becker got the call to start the game for the Rangers as was efficient through 4 innings, allowing 4 hits, 1 run, 1 walk, and 2 punchouts.

​

The Rangers drew first blood with a bases-load walk to Cal Walters for a 1-0 advantage after the first inning. The Knights tied things up in the top of the third. 

​

The Rangers took the lead back in the bottom of the fourth. Markus Neff scored on a fielder's choice. Eric Becker then came through with an RBI single to score Walters, accounting for his 100th career RBI as a member of the Rangers. Cooper Nolte later drove in a pair of runs with a single as the Rangers built a 5-1 score.

Kenny Owens entered to relieve Joe Becker in the fifth. The Knights greeted him with a pair of runs to cut into the lead. 

​

Nolte continued his hot-hitting in the bottom of the 6th with a 2-out, 2-run double. Gilmore followed up with an RBI single to make it 8-3.

​

Joe Becker picked up his 75th career win, 8 behind Rangers all-time leader Shawn Schmitt. Owens registered his first career save, tossing 3 innings and striking out 5.
