Game  19

Rangers 8,

Redlegs 4

In between a pair of continued games, the Rangers played a regularly scheduled 7-inning game with the Redlegs. And they needed some late-inning heroics to win 8-4.

The Redlegs scored in the top of the first on an RBI single from Joey Watson, and made it 2-0 on a run-scoring single from Cameron Svarda in the top of the 2nd. Jonmarc Lippincott's RBI single in the bottom of the 2nd cut the deficit in half.  Markus Neff had an RBI single in the third to tie the game at 2-2.

Matt Morrison added an RBI single in the fifth for the Redlegs, but the Rangers' Ben Schooler countered with an RBI single of his own in the bottom of the inning to keep the game tied.

The Redlegs didn't back down in the 6th putting 6 runners on base. Good thing though, only one was able to come around to  score. The Rangers put the game away in the bottom of the sixth.

Dominic Kuzujanakis and Cooper Nolte led off with walks. Lippincott then beat out a bunt to load the bases.  Chris Jones then roped a 2-run single to give the Rangers a 5-4 advantage. Eric Becker followed with a 2-run single of his own. Later, Rob Pederson added a sac fly for the final 8-4 tally.

Ryan Qvick picked up his first win of the year.

Offensive highlights: Ben Schooler 3-or-4, RBI, double; Jonmarc Lippincott 2-for-3, RBI; Chris Jones 2-for-3, 2 RBI, double; Eric Becker 2-for-3, 2 RBI
