Game  27

The Rangers (23-4) earned their 23rd win of the season on Wednesday night after defeating the Diamondbacks 15-0 at Gastineau Field. The 23 regular season victories surpassed the previous franchise record of 22 regular season wins set in 1998.

In doing so, Joe Becker tossed his 2nd shutout of the year and tied former Rangers' Shawn Schmitt's career MVABL record for league wins (70).

Understaffed with just 9 players, the Rangers made quick work of the D-Backs with great defense and   a lot of offense.

Eric Becker put the wheels in motion in the bottom of the first with a leadoff double. After a single from Jesse Jones, Rob Pederson plated the first run on a sac fly. One out later, Cooper Nolte, Brandon Ward, and Joe Becker singled in succession with RBI knocks to make it 4-0 after one inning.

Eric Becker doubled again in the 2nd and scored on an RBI single from Pederson. Markus Neff then belted his 3rd HR of the season for a 7-0 score. The longball was the 18th of his career, moving him into 7th all-time in franchise history.

In the 4th inning, Jones singled and scored later on an RBI single from Neff. After singles from Nolte and Ward to load the bases, Joe Becker doubled home a pair to make it 10-0. Mike Seebock added a 2-run single to increase the lead to 12-0.

The Rangers failed to earn the run-rule after 5 innings despite putting runners on the corners with no outs. But that wasn't the case in the bottom of the 6th.

Joe Becker singled and Jaret Quinn did the same. Seebock singled home Becker. Eric Becker then hit a sac fly to score Quinn. Jones reached on an error and Neff walked to load the bases. Then the ever-exciting walk-off walk was issued to Nolte to end the game 15-0.

Joe Becker allowed 5 hits over 6 shutout innings, did not walk a batter, and struck out two to improve his record to 7-0 with a 0.81 ERA on the season.
